Transneft Urals Conducts Scheduled Works at Oil Trunk Pipelines

Transneft Urals has carried out scheduled repairs at four trunk pipelines in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Chelyabinsk and Kurgan Regions.

During the works at the Leninsk – Nurlino section of the Nizhnevartovsk – Kurgan – Kuybyshev (NKK) OTP, three stop valves were replaced, and a gate valve was installed at the PIG trap. 2 more stop valves were replaced at the Nurlino – Samara section.

At the Kaltasy – Yazykovo section of the Kaltasy – Yazykovo – Salavat oil trunk pipeline, one stop valve was replaced. The installed gate valves are connected to automation and telemechanics systems.

The valves were replaced according to the results of technical diagnostics. All stop valves were manufactured in Russia and fully comply with the standards of Transneft.

In addition, during the scheduled works, 12 sections were replaced at the NKK, Tuymazy – Ufa-1 and Tuymazy – Omsk – Novosibirsk-2 oil trunk pipelines.

The works were conducted under the technical upgrading and revamping programme of Transneft Urals for 2020. Oil transportation has been resumed on schedule and is currently carried out under the standard protocol.
