USPTU Graduates Defend Graduation Projects at Transneft Urals

Transneft Urals has held defense of graduation projects by graduates of the Ufa State Petroleum Technical University (USPTU). For the first time, the event was held online.

Seven university graduates who completed their bachelor studies presented their projects. The State Examination Commission (SEC) included specialists of the company and university professors. The defense was held with the participation of Roman Kovalev, Transneft Urals Director General (SEC Chairman), and Oleg Baulin, USPTU Rector.

The graduates majored in Operation and Maintenance of Facilities for Transportation and Storage of Oil, Gas and Refined Products, five of them are Transneft scholars. The graduation projects are dedicated to solving specific issues of enhancing the efficiency of oil pipeline industry facilities, including the facilities of Transneft Urals – choosing how to regulate the operating mode of the Kaltasy line operation dispatcher station. According to the results of the defense, six graduates received excellent marks, and one person received the good mark.

Every year, graduates of USPTU join the personnel of Transneft Urals and other Transneft subsidiaries. A cooperation agreement was signed with the university, and specialists of the company participate in improving the curriculum; the company provides significant assistance in improving the material base of the university.
