Transneft Urals has carried out technical upgrading of the electric power transmission line which supplies energy to the Georgievka-PP line operation dispatcher station of the Tuimazy Oil Pipeline Directorate from the Georgievka substation (110/10 kV) in Kinelsky District of Samara Region.
The construction of the new line, which replaced the cable line with aluminum conductors that had been used for more than 40 years, was carried out as part of Transneft Urals technical upgrading programme for 2019.
During the construction of the electric power transmission line, about 6 kilometres of high-voltage cable were laid across rough terrain, while ensuring safe intersection with other communications of third-party organisations. In addition, 12 intersections of local roads with the cable line were equipped using the soil piercing method without destroying the roadbed and stopping the traffic. Using the directional drilling method, crossings over the Samara – Buguruslan regional road and the Kuybyshev Railway (Orenburg – Samara section) were arranged for the cable line.
The new cable electric power transmission line will provide reliable power supply to the Georgievka-PP LODS throughout the entire life cycle.
