Transneft Urals Finishes Scheduled Repairs at Petroleum Products Trunk Pipelines

Transneft Urals has completed scheduled repairs at the Ufa – Petropavlovsk petroleum products trunk pipeline (PPTP) within the territory of Kurgan and Chelyabinsk Regions, and the Ufa – West and the Ufa – Kambarka PPTP (within the boundaries of the Republic of Bashkortostan).

Most of the work took place at Ufa – Petropavlovsk PPTP. 16 defects detected during the initial in-line inspection of the Petropavlovsk – Khokhly section were cut out, and midlife repair of a gate valve was performed. 12 defects were cut out within the Khohly – Cherkassy section, and midlife repairs of 19 process gate valves were performed at Khokhly line operation dispatcher station (LODS).

The works were carried out as part of the Transneft Urals development programme, with the receipt of oil and petroleum products from refineries going on uninterrupted. The purpose of the work is to enhance the reliability of operated sections of Transneft Urals’ petroleum products trunk pipelines and operating facilities.
