Transneft Urals has hosted a theses defence ceremony for bachelors and masters of Ufa State Oil Technological University (USOTU).
Timur Bezymiannikov, General Director of Transneft Urals, chaired a state attestation commission that included the Company's top management and USOTU professors. Heads of various sections and departments of Transneft Urals actively participated in discussion of presented works.
The presentations of USOTU graduates encompassed a wide range of topics, such as improving stationary booms, destroying drag-reducing agents, revamping trunk pipelines’ sections and increasing their throughput capacity.
Eight of the twelve graduates had been sent to study at USOTO by Transneft Urals and three graduates had received Transneft scholarship. Each of the graduates has done an internship at the Compay’s facilities and many of them have already received recommendations for employment at the Company’s branches.
According to the results of the defence, theses of 11 graduates were evaluated as “excellent” and one thesis received a “good” grade thus confirming the graduates’ high qualification and readiness to work in the industry.
Bachelors’ and masters’ theses defence is an annual event, which is one of many areas of cooperation between Transneft Urals and Ufa State Oil Technological University (USOTU). The parties have signed a cooperation agreement, according to which the Company has the opportunity to employ young highly qualified professionals. The University, in turn, can improve its facilities and curriculum.
