Transneft Urals carries out scheduled works at petroleum products trunk pipelines

Transneft Urals has held scheduled works at the Ufa – Petropavlovsk and Ufa – West petroleum products trunk pipelines (PPTPs).

At the Petropavlovsk – Khokhly process section of the Ufa – Petropavlovsk PPTP, a pressure regulation unit was connected, non-returnmvalves were installed at booster pump units and a drainage system at Petropavlovsk line operation dispatcher station was re-piped. Apart from that, two restrictions discovered during a primary BGT tool analysis were cut out.

Four gate valves were replaced at the Khokhly – Cherkassy process section of the Ufa – Petropavlovsk PPTP, followed by cutting out 8 defects discovered in primary in-line inspection, and 270 m of pipeline was replaced.

A T-piece was replaced at a PIG trap at the Cherkassy – Subkhankulovo process section of the Ufa – Petropavlovsk PPTP. At the Subkhankulovo – Priboy section, six defects were cut out and 200 m of pipeline were replaced.

The works were carried out within the scope of the Integrated Technical Upgrading and Revamping Programme for the Company’s  facilities without suspension of petroleum products acceptance from oil refineries; petroleum products transportation was resumed fully within the scheduled time. The conducted works will improve reliability of operations of Transneft Urals’ pipeline transportation facilities.
