Technical upgrading of tank farm at Berdiaush – PP LODS underway in Chelyabinsk Oil Pipeline Directorate

Date of publication: 11 April 2017 Print

The work has been underway at tank farm of Berdiaush – PP line operation dispatcher station (LODS), attached to the Chelyabinsk Oil Pipeline Directorate of Transneft Urals, under the Technical Upgrading and Revamping (TUR) Programme.

The station’s process pipelines have now been disconnected from the Ufa – Omsk and the Ufa – Petropavlovsk petroleum product trunk pipelines (PPTPs). Two vertical steel tanks (VST-5000, Nos. 1 and  2) with the volume of 5,000 m3 each have already been demounted at Berdiaush – PP LODS.

The process pipelines from the tank farm to the Ufa –Omsk PPTP will be demounted completely. A new pipeline to be connected to the PPTP via a new mud trap filter will be mounted in the scope of a project on construction of a 2,000 m3 tank (VST-2000 No. 2) to replace the existing process pipelines that hook up the station to the Ufa – Petropavlovsk PPTP. New electrically actuated valves will also be installed in the process pipeline.
